Community Presentations

2019 - Present

During my time as Community Engagement Specialist and Program Director at Mind&Melody part of my role was to keep Mind&Melody visible in the community and on the tip of the community's tongue when it came to Alzheimer’s and dementia care in South Florida. This meant many public speaking opportunities that I sought out, was invited to, or stumbled into. I built relationships with networking groups in the tri-county area, the Parkinson’s Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Latino Aging Conference, South Florida Institute on Aging, Miami-Dade Libraries and Recreation, the Great Miami Jewish Federation, Jewish Family Services, and many other local organizations doing important work in the lives of our elder community.

I’ve led workshops for medical professionals and community members of diverse backgrounds and developed informative sessions on the power of music and how to use music as a tool. To this day I am still involved in this aspect of Mind&Melody, presenting on not only the work we do in the community, but on how to harness the power of music as a tool for healing and stimulation.
